"Old German car smell"? So, what, like musty vinyls and crayons?

haha it is indescribable. You need to experience it to know. Kind of an amalgamation of all kinds of stuff. Rotting headliner, yes a tinge of old vinyl, dead rodents. It is somehow pleasing though

You know what it might be? The glue and horsehair used for seat stuffing, at least for a lot of the pre-90s cars. That's the word on the street for old Bimmers anyway.

yeah, but the materials change, a 1950 beetle out of a barn will still smell the same as a 1989 Jetta left in the sun. It may very well be there is one component that makes it.

Kind of how like every single oldsmobile has the same smell, no matter what the circumstances.
